Mining Act Reclamation Program

The Mining and Minerals Division of EMNRD usually posts reports about the number of new mines created since the 1994 state mining act. This year they didn't, so we reached out and learned that the 2016 Draft of the Annual Reporting of MARP to the NM Mining Commission, like earlier reports, will state that as to regular mining no new operations have been approved since 1994. (Note, potash is not covered by the act.)
